Role Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing financial statements preparation, financial reporting, accounting, and financial analysis. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for developing and implementing financial controls and procedures to ensure financial accuracy, identify risks, and maximize returns.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in finance and accounting
  • Experience in financial reporting and preparing financial statements
  • Ability to develop and implement financial controls and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with financial software applications and systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA) is a plus
  • Experience in the Romanian market is a plus

Financial Controller

KapitalHR is recruiting for one of its clients, active in oil&gas trading a candidate to hold the position of Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with RAS and group policy reporting requirements
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Drawing up business analytic reports requested by top management
  • Drawing up cost-control analysis reports

Requirements and skills:

  • Experience with creating financial reports
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience with B.A. tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlick)
  • Excellent accounting software user skills
  • Competency with ERP systems
  • Excellent spoken and written English
