Through my professional activity, I interact with many people: clients, candidates, partners and collaborators. After more than 15 years of working in teams, I asked myself: what makes some more successful than others?
At first glance, the answer seems superficial. Many are equally educated and intelligent, yet some differentiate themselves and reach high positions or have their own businesses.
Is there luck? The reality is that "this so-called luck is often created and, other times, taken, embraced, assumed. With risks and courage."
Characteristics of successful people
People at the top of the Gauss curve don't work from 9 to 5. They:
- Socialize and meet constantly with similar people
- Prefer cultural or contemplative activities instead of news
- Are perfectionists and set high standards
- Are attentive to details: clothing, hygiene, orderly desk
- Sleep and eat little, have many acquaintances, few friends
- Are never satisfied and don't give up
The success mindset
"What makes some more successful than others is attitude, mindset, desire, and standards that are always high and rising. Not studies or education are the main engine of success."
Success isn't just about money, but about the freedom that money offers. These people are creators who build and seek a certain lifestyle.
Conclusions
Success is a state, an attitude, and an embracing of discomfort. Each person has their own representation of success, and success is as relative as beauty.
