Legal Talent Search, a Kapital HR project in partnership with Juridice.ro, is recruiting a Lawyer – Secondment for a Bucharest-based law firm. The role involves working primarily on site with one of the firm’s clients, a major automotive retailer.
About the role The lawyer will work closely with the client’s team and management, providing day-to-day legal support and handling legal requests arising from the company’s operations. The role calls for autonomy, a quick understanding of business needs, and the ability to provide clear, practical legal solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to the company’s departments and management;
- Handle legal requests from employees;
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents used in day-to-day operations;
- Advise on employment law matters, including employment contracts, addenda, confidentiality, non-compete and mobility clauses, and other aspects of employment relations;
- Assess legal issues arising in the company’s operations and provide practical recommendations;
- Provide legal support in dealings with business partners, suppliers, authorities and other third parties;
- Advise on compliance with internal procedures and legal requirements applicable to the company’s activities;
- Identify and assess potential legal risks and propose ways to mitigate them;
- Work closely with the law firm’s team on matters requiring additional or specialist legal advice.
Candidate profile
- Fully qualified lawyer with relevant legal advisory experience;
- Experience in employment, civil and commercial law;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain legal matters to non-lawyers;
- Ability to work independently and manage a range of legal requests at the same time;
- Practical, business-minded and solution-oriented approach;
- Responsible, well-organised professional with strong interpersonal skills;
- Professional proficiency in English.
Working arrangements The role involves an initial 12-month secondment, structured as follows:
- During the first 6 months – 4 days per week at the client’s premises and 1 day at the law firm’s office;
- During the following 6 months – 3 days per week at the client’s premises and 2 days at the law firm’s office.
The position offers direct exposure to a major business in the automotive industry and the opportunity to handle a broad range of legal matters, working closely with both the client’s management and team and the law firm’s lawyers.
