Kapital HR is looking, for one of its clients, a top law firm in Romania, for a person to fill the position of Chief Accountant
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- To be familiar with the legislation regarding single-entry and double-entry bookkeeping;
- Prepares and verifies monthly the Sales and Purchases Journals and the VAT returns (300, 394, 390);
- Prepares the payrolls and the related monthly returns in accordance with the legal provisions;
- Calculates the salaries and the lawyers' fees for the monthly payment to them;
- Verifies the entries and balances in the accounting software and the bank register, verifies the invoices issued to clients, the invoices received from suppliers and the monthly VAT return;
- Verifies the manner of recording fixed assets, their classification by category and the calculation of depreciation;
- Establishes and ensures the timely payment of all the company's debts to the state budget (VAT, taxes, duties, etc.), the Health Insurance Fund, the Bar Association, the Lawyers' Insurance Fund and ensures the timely payment of all the company's debts to third parties;
- Provides reports, statements, fiscal or accounting analyses, etc. to the partner lawyers, necessary for making decisions;

- – higher education, preferably in management accounting
- – CECCAR member
- – good skills in operating an accounting software
