Kapital HR is looking, for one of its clients, a top producer of high-quality cured meats, dedicated to excellence and innovation in the food industry, for a Senior Accountant with experience in production, who can take over the role of Chief Accountant after the first 6 months. This person will be responsible for managing the entire accounting, financial and fiscal activity of the company, with a special focus on production processes. They will coordinate the accounting team, ensure compliance with legal regulations, contribute to cost optimization and collaborate closely with management to support strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Managing and supervising all of the company's accounting activities, including the recording of financial transactions, the verification of accounting documents and the preparation of balance sheets.
- Ensuring the correct management of production accounts, including the analysis of production costs and their optimization.
- Preparing and presenting periodic financial reports, including profitability and cash flow analyses, with an emphasis on production processes.
- Monitoring and managing stock flows, analyzing the costs of raw materials and finished products.
- Ensuring compliance with the fiscal and accounting regulations specific to the production industry.
- Collaborating with the production and management departments to identify and implement efficient financial solutions.
- Carrying out the monthly reconciliation of accounts and the monthly closing of the financial statements.
- Active participation in preparing the annual budget and in financial forecasts.
- Supervising and coordinating the activity of the accounting team, ensuring its continuous training and development.
- Interacting with external and internal auditors, as well as with the tax authorities during audits or inspections.
- Identifying and implementing processes and solutions for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Higher education in the financial-accounting field (Economics, Accounting, Finance).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the accounting field, with a focus on the production sector.
- Solid knowledge of fiscal legislation and financial accounting, including regulations specific to the production industry.
- Advanced skills in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
- Experience in managing teams and leadership skills.
- The ability to analyze and interpret financial data, with the aim of supporting managerial decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
