Job description

The Development Director plays a strategic role in the company's expansion and success, being the main engine of revenue growth and the consolidation of the market position. Responsible for developing and implementing efficient sales strategies, they identify new business opportunities, facilitate expansion into new markets and build valuable partnerships. Through a performance-oriented approach, they ensure the promotion, contracting and sale of products and services, observing the established objectives and guaranteeing profitability and quality. With a clear vision and rigorous execution, the Development Director contributes directly to achieving the financial and commercial objectives, in the short and long term, aligning with customer requirements and the company's strategy.

  • Researching the market to identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Conceiving and applying development and sales strategies at company level.
  • Proposing and implementing plans for increasing sales and profitability.
  • Collaborating with internal departments for the optimal integration of new products and services.
  • Identifying external financing sources and proposing the best solutions for each project.
  • Negotiating and concluding contracts with partners, suppliers and distributors.
  • Proposing and developing new markets and distribution channels.
  • Planning and managing development budgets.
  • Efficiently managing development and expansion strategies.
  • Establishing the objectives, deadlines and strategies for each development project.
  • Monitoring industry trends and adapting the company's strategy accordingly.
  • Ensuring an efficient transfer of information and technologies about new products/services among all the company's departments.
  • Gathering and providing monthly information about the company's activity, new partnerships, ongoing or completed projects, new products and services, as well as other significant changes relevant to the internal/external environment of Vestra Industry.
  • Constantly and within the predetermined deadlines transmitting this information to the hierarchical superior.
  • Collaborating with other departments (communication, sales, technical, economic, etc.) to ensure the coherence and efficiency of the development and sales processes.
  • Creating periodic reports about the activity carried out and presenting the results to the management team.
  • Participating in meetings with potential collaborators/suppliers and transmitting the evolution of any partnerships to the management team.
  • Participating in the periodic meetings with the management team.
  • Observing the internal procedures, regulations and quality norms, including the implemented IMS regulations specific to the field of activity.
  • Observing the applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Promoting the company's image and consolidating business relationships.
  • Developing and implementing revenue growth initiatives.
Requirements

Requirements

  • Higher education in the economic, management or similar field.
  • Relevant experience in business development and sales.
  • Solid knowledge of strategic management, sales and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Experience in using financial analysis and CRM instruments.
  • Capacity for analysis, planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Networking and business relationship development skills.
  • Advanced MS Office operating knowledge.
  • Knowledge of English at an advanced level constitutes an advantage.
  • Adaptability in the face of market changes and new challenges.
  • Assuming responsibility for decisions and results.
  • Discipline and observance of internal procedures.
  • Personal impact in positively influencing the team and partners.
  • Counseling and guidance for the internal team and collaborators.
