Kapital HR is recruiting for one of its clients, a major player in Romania’s chemical industry, a Group Chief Financial Officer with solid experience in financial management at group level and a proven track record in increasing profitability, optimizing financial performance and transforming complex organizations.
The role has a significant strategic and transformation component, with the future CFO’s mission being to contribute directly to strengthening the group’s performance, streamlining operations, optimizing costs and working capital, and building a sustainable financial structure to support long-term growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the financial strategy and all financial and accounting activities at group level;
- Defining and implementing the measures required to improve profitability, optimize the cost structure and increase financial efficiency;
- Coordinating budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance analysis processes;
- Monitoring financial results, margins, costs and key performance indicators and initiating the necessary corrective measures;
- Managing cash flow, liquidity, working capital and financing requirements;
- Ensuring accurate, complete and timely financial reporting for management and shareholders;
- Managing relationships with banks, financing partners, auditors, consultants and relevant institutions;
- Evaluating investments and supporting decisions regarding CAPEX and strategic projects;
- Strengthening financial control mechanisms, risk management and financial discipline at group level;
- Coordinating and developing financial teams and setting clear performance objectives;
- Actively participating, as a business partner, in the strategic and operational decisions of the group’s management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in turning around or improving the financial performance of a company/group, with concrete results in increasing profitability, optimizing costs and streamlining operations;
- Relevant experience in a CFO, Group CFO, Finance Director or similar financial leadership role within a complex organization;
- Solid experience in the full coordination of the finance function: controlling, FP&A, accounting, reporting, treasury and cash flow;
- Ability to quickly identify areas of loss or inefficiency and to develop and implement financial turnaround and growth plans;
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost management and working capital optimization;
- Experience in managing relationships with banks, financing partners, auditors and other financial partners;
- Very good leadership skills and experience in coordinating and developing financial teams;
- Strategic and commercial thinking, strong results orientation and decision-making ability;
- Rigor, integrity, autonomy and the ability to manage complex projects and priorities;
- Advanced level of English.
