About the role
Kapital HR is looking, for one of its clients, an architecture firm with large projects in civil and industrial construction, for a person to fill the position of Design Engineer for Railways, Roads and Bridges.
Responsibilities

- Drawing up projects for the rehabilitation/construction of roads, intersections, infrastructure master plans, public/private platforms, intermodal nodes and integrated projects.
- Studying the design brief and developing the layout concept;
- Carrying out preliminary pre-dimensioning calculations regarding the shape and dimensions of the structure's elements for the purpose of the qualitative conformation of the bridge/road structure;
- Drawing up the written parts of a project (technical report, specifications, site instructions, etc.) according to the norms in force.
- Drawing up the bill of quantities and cost estimates.
- Drawing up the calculation sheets for the dimensioning calculations commonly used.
- Verifying the written and drawn parts produced by other colleagues
- Traveling to the site to solve the problems that arise and participating in the determinant phases.
- Carrying out, in time, the operations, phases and technological stages of the project.
- Participating in work meetings.
- Ensuring good collaboration with the consultants (verifiers and experts) approved by the beneficiary.
Requirements

- Faculty of Roads, Bridges and Railways.
- Knowledge of the programs: MS Office, AUTOCAD, WINDEV and/or other specific programs.
- Experience in the design of roads and bridges, of minimum 3 years, traffic studies.
- Knowledge of the legislation, of the norms and of the standards in force.
- Solid knowledge of materials, methods and instruments used in the construction or repair of structures such as roads or highways.
- Driving license cat. B
- Knowledge of the Synchro software – constitutes an advantage.
