Job Overview
The International Business Developer will be responsible for driving the growth of the company in international markets by identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing relationships with international clients and partners, and ensuring the successful execution of expansion strategies.
Responsibilities
- **Market Expansion**: Research and analyse international markets to identify growth opportunities. Develop entry strategies for new regions.
- **Client Acquisition**: Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and potential clients in target markets.
- **Partnership Development**: Negotiate and manage partnerships with distributors, resellers, and local market agents to promote company products and services.
- **Sales Strategy**: Develop and implement tailored sales strategies for international markets to meet and exceed sales targets.
- **Cross-Cultural Communication**: Maintain a deep understanding of cultural differences and market dynamics to ensure effective communication and relationship management.
- **Travel**: Regularly travel internationally to meet clients, attend conferences, and explore new business opportunities.
- **Reporting**: Provide regular updates on international market performance, potential risks, and growth opportunities to senior management.
- **Market Research**: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in target regions to stay ahead of market developments.
- **Collaboration**: The International Business Developer will play a crucial role in engaging with prominent business owners and highly skilled leaders. Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development) to tailor offerings for specific international markets.
Requirements
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales in international markets.
- **Languages**: Proficiency in English and at least one additional language is required. Fluency in more than two languages is a strong asset.
- **Skills**:
- Strong understanding of global business practices and international trade.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
