About the role

We are looking for a Marketing Manager for FC Botosani Club. In this role, you will expand the marketing efforts of FC Botosani Club by playing an important role in implementing our brand in the country.

FC Botoșani is a Romanian professional football club based in the city of Botoșani, which competes in Liga I. In 2013, twelve years after its founding, FC Botoșani became the first team from the county to be promoted to the top level of the Romanian football league system. It recorded its first European appearance in the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League season.

The role is versatile, ranging from brand management, to managing sponsorships, organic to paid channels, operational strategies, online to offline presence and to the implementation of a data-based marketing approach, setting the strategy and delivering impactful multichannel media campaigns in all forms to achieve results.

  • Launching and implementing marketing initiatives to expand the awareness of the FC Botosani brand at the country level
  • Adapting the FC Botoșani strategy to the Romanian market, localizing and adapting the marketing channels and materials
  • Defining the marketing plan according to the seasonal calendar / the Club's priorities – including paid media campaigns, influencers, PR, social and digital content, CSR campaigns
  • Setting marketing themes for the community and content: organic social networks, blog etc.
  • Generating marketing partnerships (paid and barter: advertising announcements, bloggers, influencers, platform)
  • Representing FC Botoșani at networking events, trade fairs or sports events
  • Identifying sponsorship opportunities and attracting sponsors
  • Analyzing the market and the competition and make recommendations to the management
  • Implementing market research and identifying trends for adopting communication strategies
  • Tracking and analyzing the key metrics at the national level and at the city level
Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and / or master's degree in communication / marketing
  • 2-4 years of full-time experience in a marketing role, preferably in an entrepreneurial and competitive environment
  • You have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the sports field in Romania
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical capabilities and orientation towards solutions
  • A proactive mindset and an attitude open to the new
  • You can manage several projects at the same time, while respecting deadlines and objectives
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in the use of the English language
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, Google products
  • Knowledge about CRM and social networking tools (Mailchimp, Airship, WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.)
