About the role
Overview Kapital HR is recruiting for one of its clients – one of the most powerful consulting companies in Romania specializing in accessing grants and European funds – a Sales Manager to coordinate and develop the company’s commercial activity, playing a strategic role in growing the client portfolio and strengthening business relationships.

We are looking for someone with experience in selling European funds consulting services, capable of managing high-level business relationships and acting as an extension of the CEO in interactions with the company’s clients and partners.

The role involves taking over and developing relationships with key clients, coordinating commercial activities, managing internally generated leads, and actively participating in business events, networking activities, and strategic meetings with entrepreneurs and partners.

This position is suitable for a person with a consultative profile, executive presence, and strong business development and relationship management skills, who wants to directly contribute to the growth of a top company in the grants and European funds sector.

Main responsibilities
• Taking over and developing business relationships initially managed by the CEO;
• Acting as the main point of contact for the company’s strategic clients;
• Managing internally generated leads and coordinating the sales process through to contract signing;
• Identifying opportunities to expand the existing client portfolio;
• Actively participating in business events, networking sessions, conferences, and meetings with entrepreneurs;
• Representing the company in interactions with clients, partners, and external collaborators;
• Understanding client needs and directing them toward suitable funding programs;
• Close collaboration with sales, proposal writing, and project implementation teams;
• Coordinating and optimizing the sales process to increase conversion rates;
• Preparing commercial offers and negotiating contracts;
• Monitoring the market, funding programs, and relevant business opportunities;
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with entrepreneurs and private companies;
• Tracking commercial KPIs and achieving sales targets;
• Contributing to the development of the company’s commercial and growth strategy.
Required skills and qualifications
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in selling European funds / grant consulting services;
• Experience managing relationships with corporate clients and entrepreneurs;
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills;
• Experience coordinating sales processes and managing leads;
• Strong understanding of funding programs for private companies;
• Ability to build long-term business relationships;
• Professional presence and consultative approach;
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills;
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on business growth;
• Good knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office;
• Experience attending business and networking events is a strong advantage.
