About the role

KapitalHR is recruiting, for one of its clients in oil production, a person to fill the position of Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for sustainable and value-driven exploitation in the Production Area, ensuring safe and efficient operations while minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment. He is responsible for production throughout the working period and optimizes the value of the production base over the long term. He represents the Production Area in the relationship with the authorities/external partners.

  • Responsible for the production volume and the costs related to production in the area of responsibility;
  • Is responsible for developing options/proposals for improving the production level and prioritizing/classifying the optimization activities;
  • Approves the surface, subsurface maintenance plans and the related works.
  • Coordinates the production and delivery process of volumes between the supplier (Production Area) and the client;
  • Supervises the production of oil and/or gas according to estimates;
  • Supervises the production volume and ensures the storage facilities.
  • Responsible for the development of the reservoirs;
  • Approves the reservoir studies;
  • Supports the identification of opportunities: prioritizes the studies;
  • Initiates and ensures the measures necessary for the development of reservoirs, as they were defined;
  • Supports the establishment and is responsible for detailing the planning/schedule of the reservoir activities.
  • Approves the drilling intention;
  • Responsible for verifying and approving the well design, including determining the detailed well costs and the economic evaluation;
  • Responsible for establishing the budget.
  • Ensures that all the necessary approvals have been obtained, the works preceding the drilling completed
  • Supports the drilling execution program and is responsible for approving the modifications to the drilling programs
  • Prepares the development and the long-term planning of the production activities;
  • Plans the budget for his area of responsibility;
  • Approves the production forecasts;
  • Approves and executes the annual production plan of the production area and is responsible for fulfilling the plan or revising it;
  • Monitors the Capex, Opex indicators and the production volume;
  • Defines the objectives for the development projects;
  • Participates in the technical project process;
  • Approves the annual procurement plan;
Requirements

Requirements

  • Higher education in the field of oil and gas engineering or a similar one;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the petroleum / oil and gas industry;
  • Strong OSH (occupational safety and health) commitment;
  • Extensive experience in the management of production activities and operations (mature reservoir operations, production operations, production technologies and maintenance, crude oil and gas treatment);
  • Extensive experience in financial management (Opex, Capex) and project management;
  • Extensive experience in reservoir management (mature reservoir operations, production activities, production technologies, engineering and maintenance, crude oil and gas extraction, facilities management, managerial relations, interaction with the authorities, etc.);
  • Extensive experience in production management (production operations, production technology, engineering and maintenance, oil and gas extraction, drilling, facilities, interaction with the authorities, etc.)
  • Extensive experience in the field of production optimization (cost management, optimization and operating costs and profit);
  • Knowledge of the standards in the field of the petroleum industry and of the best practices in production/technology/engineering/legislative regulations;
  • Distinctive strategic thinking and global understanding from strategy to operational management;
  • Managerial experience and leadership abilities (visionary and operational leadership);
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Potential for developing personnel;
  • Very good PC operating skills;
  • Good knowledge of English.
