About the role

Kapital HR is looking, for one of its clients, a leader in local petfood production, for a person to fill the position of Procurement Specialist.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provides support from an execution standpoint for carrying out the procurement activity of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging needed in the company's production processes, as well as for other products and services.
  • Prepares, from a support standpoint, the negotiations/tenders organized at the level of the Procurement Department in order to establish a cooperative relationship with suppliers;
  • Collecting, centralizing, and structuring all the information and technical parameters that fully define each item in the assigned product category;
  • Collecting and centralizing the offers received;
  • Participating, from a support standpoint, in the preselection of suppliers – the primary preselection of offers in terms of compliance with the documentation and fulfillment of the conditions for participating in the tender;
  • Assisting suppliers, through continuous information, throughout the entire process in order to provide them both with information related to the process and with information regarding the technical characteristics of the products and the specific requirements related to the internal production process, all in the form of technical specifications;
  • Issues periodic orders to suppliers and tracks their delivery up to receipt;
  • Communicates to the supplier any discrepancy between the delivery made and the agreed conditions, based on the non-conformity reports drawn up by the Quality department, in order to unblock the situations that have arisen;
  • Continuously monitors the activity of the suppliers, in the sense of tracking compliance with contractual obligations (ordered/delivered volumes; logistical and technical conditions);
  • Continuously tracks the evolution of the goods stocks in the assigned category and issues orders with a view to optimizing the orders.
Requirements

Requirements

  • Higher education
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position;
  • Advanced skills in operating Word, Excel, work/database management experience;
  • Real skills in navigating/searching the internet, according to logical criteria;
  • Advanced knowledge of English;
  • Category B driving license;
  • Very good interpersonal skills;
  • Skills in prioritizing support and execution activities;
  • Ability to understand technical details and technical orientation;
  • Ability to make decisions based on principles and similar situations and to solve problems on the spot within one's area of responsibility;
  • A very tidy, organized, and structured person;
  • Tenacity and initiative;
  • Orientation toward fulfilling the objective/task;
