KapitalHR is recruiting for one of its clients in petroleum production a person to fill the position of Petroleum Technician
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Schedules the works in accordance with the activities and priorities of the project;
- Collaborates with the personnel from the exploitation area and other departments involved in the development projects;
- Monitors the service providers in order to ensure that all the services provided are properly documented, verified, and entered into the database.
- Carries out technical tasks regarding petroleum engineering, such as: compiling, verifying, and collating information from various sources – wells, reservoir exploitation, annexes, reports;
- Maintains and updates all the specific documents, the production/injection database, and prepares reports in accordance with the instructions received;
- Performs calculations related to the production of crude oil/gas/water for the preparation of the daily/weekly/monthly reports;
- Draws up monthly reports as necessary, regarding petroleum engineering (including charts, tables, maps, etc.);
- Prepares the necessary files for PETREL, OFM, and other computer programs;
- Carries out forecasts with the help of the OFM software.
Requirements

- Specialized school or similar technical high school, combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the exploitation of crude oil and gas reservoirs;
- Good skills in using the Microsoft Office package (Excel/Word/Power Point);
- Knowledge of English at least at a beginner level;
- Pays increased attention to details;
- Good skills in using the OFM and GIS software;
- Knowledge of using automatic digitizing techniques (planimeters and digitizing software);
- Understanding of the notions specific to petroleum reservoirs;
- Able to work efficiently under stressful conditions, flexibility, and adaptability.
