About the role

Kapital HR is looking, for one of its clients, a renowned restaurant in Bucharest with Italian cuisine and a capacity of approximately 150 people, for a Chef passionate about authentic Italian cuisine, who can bring excellence and creativity to the dishes, coordinating the kitchen team and contributing to the success of the operation.

Responsibilities

  • **Coordinating daily kitchen operations**: managing workflows and ensuring dishes are prepared in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
  • **Italian-specific menu**: developing and updating the menu with authentic Italian dishes, adapted to the clientele's preferences.
  • **Kitchen team management**: recruiting, training and supervising staff to ensure an efficient and collaborative work environment.
  • **Procurement management**: direct involvement in the purchasing process, selecting quality suppliers and controlling raw material costs.
  • **Quality assurance**: monitoring compliance with hygiene, safety and quality standards in the kitchen.
  • **Planning and organization**: managing an efficient work schedule for the team, observing a usual work schedule of 5 days per week with 2 days off.
  • **Collaboration with management**: constant communication with the restaurant manager to ensure an excellent customer experience and the achievement of financial objectives.
  • **Preparation for high customer volume**: managing the kitchen during peak hours to ensure fast and efficient customer service.
Requirements

Requirements

  • **Relevant experience**: minimum 3-5 years in a similar position, with experience in coordinating large kitchens (capacity of approximately 150 people).
  • **Solid knowledge of Italian cuisine**: the ability to create authentic dishes and to maintain their consistent quality.
  • **Leadership skills**: experience in managing teams and the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • **Organizational and financial skills**: knowledge of stock management, cost control and purchasing optimization.
  • **Flexibility and stress resistance**: the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • **Attention to detail**: attention to the presentation of dishes (plating) and maintaining high quality standards.
  • **English language** at a conversational level; knowledge of other foreign languages constitutes an advantage.
