About the role
Overview
Kapital HR is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients—one of Romania’s leading consulting firms specializing in grants and European funding—a European Funds Sales Consultant to manage and develop relationships with prospective clients interested in obtaining non-reimbursable financing.
The role is focused on consultative sales and account farming, with the company generating leads internally through marketing activities, partnerships, and dedicated campaigns. The consultant will not be responsible for aggressive hunting or cold calling; instead, they will work with qualified leads and manage the sales process from the initial eligibility assessment through to closing the engagement.
We are looking for a professional with experience in selling European funding consulting services and strong skills in assessing the eligibility of companies and projects, capable of understanding clients’ needs and recommending the most suitable funding solutions.
This role is ideal for a results-oriented individual with excellent communication and consulting skills who is looking to join a stable company with a strong reputation in the grants and European funding market.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing internally generated leads and developing commercial relationships with prospective clients;
• Conducting preliminary assessments of companies and projects to determine eligibility for European funding programs;
• Identifying the most appropriate funding opportunities based on the client’s profile and business objectives;
• Presenting the company’s services and providing commercial consulting throughout the sales process;
• Organizing and conducting online and in-person meetings with prospective clients;
• Collecting and analyzing the information required to evaluate funding opportunities;
• Collaborating closely with the project writing and implementation team to ensure a smooth transfer of information;
• Managing the sales process through to contract signing;
• Maintaining strong client relationships and identifying cross-selling opportunities or future projects;
• Staying up to date with funding programs, applicant guidelines, and relevant legislative changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in selling European funding and grant consulting services;
• Experience in conducting eligibility assessments and evaluating company applications is a significant advantage;
• Good understanding of funding programs available to private companies;
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative sales skills;
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities;
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving commercial targets;
• Experience working with entrepreneurs and private companies;
• Professional, dynamic, and client-oriented approach;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems;
• Experience in consultative sales and B2B sales is considered an advantage.
Benefits of the Role
• Opportunity to work for one of the most recognized companies in the grants and European funding sector;
• Internally generated leads, allowing a focus on account development and consulting rather than aggressive prospecting;
• Attractive compensation package consisting of a fixed salary plus a motivating commission structure;
• Genuine opportunities for professional and financial growth;
• Exposure to a wide variety of projects and collaboration with entrepreneurs across multiple industries;
• Professional, stable, and performance-oriented work environment;
• Support from an experienced team of consultants and project implementation specialists.
