Group General Manager

Kapital HR is recruiting for one of its clients, a major player in the industrial sector, with a diversified portfolio of companies and manufacturing operations, a General Manager for an executive role focused on business coordination and development.

The role has a significant strategic and transformation component, with the future Group General Manager’s mission being to coordinate the activities of the group companies in an integrated manner, improve operational and financial performance, and build the foundations for profitable and sustainable long-term growth.

Responsibilities:

• Defining and implementing the business strategy at group level, together with the shareholders and executive team;
• Coordinating the group’s companies and functions in an integrated manner, with clear performance, profitability and efficiency objectives;
• Leading the organizational and operational transformation process, with a focus on improving results and increasing competitiveness;
• Monitoring commercial, operational and financial performance and rapidly implementing corrective measures when results deviate from objectives;
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to increase revenues, optimize costs and improve margins;
• Coordinating budgeting, planning and KPI monitoring processes at group level, in collaboration with the CFO and the management of the companies;
• Evaluating the portfolio of activities, investment projects and strategic initiatives from the perspective of profitability and impact on the group;
• Developing an organizational culture based on accountability, performance, collaboration and results orientation;
• Building, coordinating and developing the management team and ensuring clear governance at group level;
• Representing the group in its relationships with strategic partners, financial institutions, authorities, clients and other relevant stakeholders;
• Reporting periodically to shareholders on the group’s performance, risks, opportunities and the progress of strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in turning around, transforming or developing complex businesses, with concrete results in increasing profitability and improving operational and financial performance;
• Relevant experience in a General Manager, CEO, Managing Director or other executive role with extensive responsibility for a business or group of companies;
• Experience in coordinating complex organizations with multiple business lines, legal entities or operational units;
• Ability to build and implement growth, efficiency and organizational transformation strategies;
• Very good understanding of financial and operational indicators and the ability to make business decisions based on them;
• Experience in cost optimization, process improvement, productivity growth and performance management;
• Strong leadership and proven experience in building, motivating and coordinating management teams;
• Strategic thinking, commercial orientation and the ability to translate strategy into concrete execution plans;
• Strong decision-making, accountability and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to manage complex situations;
• Integrity, autonomy, resilience and a clear results-oriented approach;
• Advanced level of English.
