About the role

Kapital HR is recruiting, for one of its clients, a renowned company in the field of civil and industrial construction, for a Site Manager / Construction Engineer. The role is essential in coordinating, organizing and monitoring the site works, ensuring compliance with the projects, deadlines and the established budget.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • **Project analysis** - Carrying out a detailed analysis of the project before each execution stage. - Identifying the deficiencies or errors in the project and reporting them to the designer, beneficiary and employer by email or WhatsApp.
  • **Rebar management** - Calculating the rebar requirement (shapes, lengths, diameters, number of pieces) based on the technical drawings. - Creating the bending drawings and placing the orders to the specialized supplier. - Technical and quantitative verification of the delivered rebar and creating a delivery schedule synchronized with the execution plan. - Handing over the stocks to the subcontractors based on a handover report, ensuring correct use and preventing losses.
  • **Concrete management** - Determining the concrete requirement according to the project specifications and the situation on site. - Placing the orders, receiving and verifying the quality and quantity of the concrete. - Filling in the concrete log and including the delivery notes in the Construction Book. - Collaborating with the laboratories for testing the quality of the concrete and creating a pouring schedule aligned with the general execution plan.
  • **Management of materials and consumables** - Drawing up the list of necessary materials on a weekly basis and managing the approval of the orders. - Receiving the materials and managing the stocks through specific registers and consumption vouchers.
  • **Management of formwork materials** - Receiving and handing over the formwork materials (props, scaffolding, metal formwork, etc.) to the subcontractors, documented through a handover report. - Monitoring the correct use and preventing losses or premature damage.
  • **Compliance with the execution schedule** - Tracking the general execution schedule and drawing up weekly/monthly schedules for communication with the employer and the subcontractors. - Promptly informing about delays and providing the necessary justifications (e.g. weather conditions, design errors).
  • **Site log and daily reporting** - Filling in a daily log that includes: weather conditions, activities carried out, personnel present and equipment used. - Drawing up a detailed daily report in collaboration with the subcontractors.
  • **Collaboration and organization** - Effective collaboration with the employer and the subcontractors to achieve the objectives. - Organizing operational meetings (daily/weekly) and drafting the minutes for them. - Convening important meetings at least 72 hours in advance.
  • **Execution quality control** - Supervising the execution of the works according to the norms and the requirements of the technical specifications. - Ensuring compliance with the technical plans for all the specialties involved.

  • **Education:** Graduate of higher education in civil/industrial construction.
  • **Experience:** Relevant experience in coordinating construction sites.
  • **Knowledge and skills:** - Interpreting and analyzing technical plans. - Managing budgets, materials and human resources. - Excellent planning, communication and leadership skills.
  • **Availability:** The ability to work in a dynamic environment, with frequent travel and extended schedule.
