Alina Conu

20+ years of experience in consulting and recruitment for critical roles in organizations.

I have worked in consulting for over 20 years and built Kapital HR and Kapital Advisory nearly 9 years ago, following a professional path in local and international consulting firms, where I had the chance to work alongside and be mentored by some of the best professionals in the market — people who contributed directly to the development of the business environment in Romania.

I spent nearly a year in Vienna, an experience that opened up a broader perspective on how organizations function in different contexts and on the real standards of performance in consulting.

I studied psychology and trained as an organizational psychologist, but I never limited myself to this perspective. I have always been connected to business — to numbers, to development, and to the decision-making space, both as an entrepreneur and in roles where I led teams. My interest in people was built, therefore, at the intersection of psychology and the concrete reality of organizations. I am deeply interested in how our mind works and how we can learn to use it in our favor, not against us.

I believe that living consciously is not an abstract concept, but a daily practice that begins with self-awareness and continues with assumed decisions. For me, life is the most important project we have, and I believe it deserves the same clarity, strategy, and discipline that we demand in business.

I have never stopped learning and I am, first and foremost, preoccupied with my own evolution. Sometimes that means moving forward, other times it means stopping and reassessing direction.

I am equally interested in the pragmatic side of business and in the emotional and spiritual dimension of people. It may seem like a paradoxical combination, but for me it is, in fact, a natural consequence of curiosity and the desire to understand things in depth.

I work both in strategic recruitment and in organizational transformation projects. Within Kapital HR, my colleagues and I focus on the recruitment of key roles — those positions that directly influence the decisions, direction, and functioning of an organization. Organizational transformation projects are developed within Kapital Advisory.

My philosophy is clarity. Both in the way I understand things, in the decisions I make, and in the way I choose to build further.

Why clarity?

Because it does not simplify things. It makes them impossible to ignore.
